A few days ago, China Electric Power News (CEPE) published a report on Shenhua Guohua Dingzhou Power Generation Co., Ltd, Phase II winning “Luban Prize for China Construction Project 2011 (State Quality Project), giving highly praise to the worldly first 660 MW direct air-cooled 2-casing supercritical steam turbine designed and manufactured by HTC.

It is reported that Dingzhou Phase II Project selected the first CLNZK660-24.2/566/566 steam turbine of supercritical, tandem compound, single reheat, 2-casing, 2-exhaust and direct air-cooled type developed and manufactured by HTC. The compact 2-casing design not only can reduce the construction investment and floorage area, but also can achieve high reliability and greatly reduce repair and maintenance after operation of the unit, leading in the units of similar capacity. Dingzhou Power Plant is the first user of such 6600MW 2-casing and 2-exhaust air-cooled supercritical steam turbine. This unit represents the effective combination of supercritical technology and air cooling technology, maintaining both the high efficiency of supercritical unit and water-saving characteristics of air-cooled unit. Thus it really achieves efficient combination of energy saving and environment protection. During commissioning and operation, the unit showed stable operation with high efficiency and low heat rate, as well as simple structure and high automation level. All these advantages establish fame for HTC and enable Dingzhou Power Plant become demonstration base for HTC to promote this product. During the construction of project, HTC supplied superior technical and service supports, which ensured the two units completed 1168-hour test running respectively on September 3 and December 22, 2009, put into operation 27 days and 99 days in advance respectively. What’s more, the first unit created a marvelous record of continuous operation in grid for 220 days after put into operation.

Upon this report, Mr. Qu Aimin, Party Committee Secretary of HTC said, for Dingzhou Phase II’s winning Luban Prize, we express congratulations to the user with proud. It is obvious to all how HTC’s unit behaves and affects in the project. Golden medal and silver medal is not as good as honor from users; also, golden cup and silver cup is not as good as praise from users. This fact also confirms that we can win the favors and praises from users, make HTC brand enjoying fames in domestic and overseas market, and achieve the internationalization goal as long as we persist in the policy of “quality first” and “precision manufacture”, persist in satisfying costumers’ requirements and supplying quality service, and persist in high-standard activities to supply users with first-class products.
